Numbers 9:15 · King James Version
Meaning
When the tabernacle was set up, it was a significant moment for the Israelites as it symbolized the presence of God among them. The cloud that covered the tabernacle during the day and the appearance of fire at night were both manifestations of God's glory. The cloud and fire were physical signs of God's guidance, protection, and provision for the Israelites as they embarked on their journey through the wilderness. The tabernacle itself was a sacred space where the people could worship and commune with God, a place where they could seek forgiveness for their sins through the sacrificial system. The cloud and fire were constant reminders to the Israelites of God's presence in their midst, leading and guiding them every step of the way. These manifestations of God's glory were a source of comfort and assurance for the Israelites as they journeyed towards the promised land.
