Prayer of St. Anselm
O Lord my God,
teach my heart this day
where and how to find thee.
Thou hast made me and remade me,
and thou hast bestowed on me
all the good things I possess;
still I do not know thee.
I have not yet done that for which I was made.
Teach me to seek thee,
for I cannot seek thee unless thou teach me,
or find thee unless thou show thyself to me.
Let me seek thee in longing,
let me long for thee in seeking;
let me find thee in love,
and love thee in finding. Amen.
