Spurgeon's Daily Meditations
Casting all your care upon him
“Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you.”
It is the part of children to bring their cares to their father. Why should a child of God carry the burden of his own care, when his Father is willing — yea, asks — to bear it?
Mark the largeness of the word: 'all your care.' Not some — not the great ones only, leaving the little to ourselves — but all. The trifles wear the soul as surely as the heavy strokes. Cast them all on him.
And note the reason: 'for he careth for you.' He is not too great to be troubled with thy small things. The God who marks the sparrow's fall counts the hairs of thy head. He cares — that is enough. Roll thy burden upon One who is glad to bear it, and walk light through the day.
